Coca Cola campaign uses emojis as web addresses! adweek.com

Coca Cola Puerto Rico is trying to catch your attention...by using emojis as their web addresses. According to DDB Puerto Rico, emojis can not be used in domains such as .com, .net. and .org. But for some reason they found out that .ws does in fact accept emojis. And coincidentally, .ws is a domain suffix of Samoa.

Currently, all the emoji URLS take you to really fancy website (Emoticoke.com), and once there, users can get their very own emoji addresses.

The catch? You'll need a mobile browser to actually put in the emoji to go to the website. Not that you'll pull out a laptop when you walk past one of these billboards.
