HBO Drops Video To ‘Power Is Power’ By The Weeknd, SZA & Travis Scott HipHop-N-More

The Weeknd was engaged by The makers of Game of Thrones to craft a track inspired by the hit HBO series, he then in-turn recruited SZA & Travis Scott, two of the hottest artists in the world right now, to bring the track to life. The song has been criticized for sounding too much like Pray For Me, a song that was made for the Soundtrack of the Marvel movie Black Panther, the song was performed by The Weeknd and featured Kendrick Lamar who served as Executive Producer of the album. If we are really being honest, Power is Power sounds like a throwaway track from that project but that’s a story for another day.

When the video to Power is Power dropped, it immediately started making waves and as this article was being written, it sat at number 8 on Youtube’s trending list. The star power on the song coupled with the euphoria surrounding Season 8 of Game of Thrones are just some of the reasons why the song has garnered all that attention.

Now if you haven’t watched a single episode of Game of Thrones, check out this beginners guide narrated by the legendary Samuel L. Jackson

The video mainly sees The Weeknd, SZA & Travis Scott all getting a chance to sit on the Iron Throne plus scenes from the series from passed seasons so don’t worry about catching any spoilers if you haven’t seen any episode from the new season.
